The Company and the Role: The Company is an international integrated logistics and facilities management provider who specialise in the military support services sector, post conflict and remote areas. The company provides expertise in Facilities and Logistics Management and Catering Services Worldwide on Remote Sites, Military and Construction Accommodation Camps, Mining and Energy projects. They are seeking a Inventory Control Manager to manage the stock in a food distribution centre in Lebanon. This appointment is currently subject to a bid process and if the Company is successful in its bid then the appointment will be permanent. Key Features of the Role: Specifically you will ensure the timely and accurately processing of orders, order confirmations, goods in transit, supplier delivery notes and supplier invoices and will record daily and weekly percentages of credits actioned to customers. You will liaise closely in relation to out of stock and substitution issues, and ensure these are communicated to the customer, DGM, and warehouse department. You will ensure all administration documentation is completed and processed accurately and effectively and will maintain purchasing models to facilitate accurate and timely procurement of all stock items for the depots with a target to ensure maximal customer service level, minimal write offs and maximum margins. You will manage key performance indicators relating to stock management: customer and supplier service level, stock write offs, stock adjustments, stock value, supplier issues, stock in weeks, excess stock and will oversee the management of short shelf life products, slow moving products and removal of delisted products You will supervise the data processing and co-ordination of Inventory using a WMS system. You will manage a team which will implement and control weekly stock levels and conduct monthly stock takes You will establish and record accurate data reports which can be used by Operations, Finance and Management. Knowledge and Skills: You will be an accomplished Inventory Control Manager with experience in a food distribution and warehousing and some formal training including use of a WMS system You must be able to read, write and speak English. The ability to speak Arabic is highly desirable. You should have supervisory experience of staff from the middle east and / or under developed countries and, and the ability to motivate and enforce western work practices and standards. You should have proven leadership, management and change management experience in a distribution business and held a comparable warehouse management position in another logistics organisation. Superb inter-personal skills and instant credibility are essential as you will be inter-facing with a number of people from different backgrounds, nationalities and religions. You will be resourceful with a flexible outlook, have the ability to multi-task in order to handle competing priorities and be able to fit in to an international dynamic and multi-cultural environment. Finally, you should be IT/PC literate with a working knowledge of WMS systems and possess a Drivers Licence. What's on Offer?
